The word \u201cdepression\u201d holds deep clinical meaning. Yet in everyday conversation, it\u2019s often used to describe temporary sadness or mild inconvenience: \u201cI\u2019m depressed my show ended\u201d or \u201cThat meal was depressing.\u201d
